Résumé

Fixed pigmented erythema (FPE) is a usually benign toxidermia remarkable for its evolution toward residual pigmentation and its fixity upon recurrence. It can mimic toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) when it is generalized bullous and can be serious when this generalized bullous form occurs in a pregnant woman. Antibiotic sulfonamides being the main causes in Côte d'Ivoire, it is necessary to search for sulfonamide allergy in all pregnant women before the administration of sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine as part of antimalarial prophylaxis.
